Everything in solid wood: floors, staircases and worktops. We do not do tile, vinyl or laminate.

Sand first, replace last.

Most wooden floors have a wear layer that will take several sandings. If there is enough timber left above the tongue, you get a floor that looks new for a fraction of the cost of laying one.

We measure this during the site visit and tell you if your floor is too thin. Then laying new is the better answer than sanding through the boards.

How a job runs.

  1. 01

    Site visit

    We measure the wear layer, and you get a fixed price in writing.

  2. 02

    Preparation

    The room is cleared, and everything that needs protecting is covered.

  3. 03

    Sanding

    Three to four passes, with dust extraction and edges by hand.

  4. 04

    Finish

    Lacquer or oil in several coats. Then we clear up and refit the skirting.
